Kirsty and Ben
Their whirlwind romance may be short, but planning a stylish wedding can be challenging. That’s why Kirsty and Ben took two years to plan this beautiful stylish wedding.
“My boss and Ben’s best friend’s sister thought that we should be introduced to each other but they took too long. So Ben sent me a friend request on Facebook and it happened to be my 30th birthday. We messaged each other for a couple of weeks and went out for a romantic first date. It didn’t take long for us to fall in love and we knew we were perfect for each other very quickly. When you know, you know!” Kirsty reminisces how they met and how Ben proposed to her over a romantic dinner he prepared. After 5 months, he got down on one knee in the kitchen. It was such a happy occasion.”
Kirsty and Ben wanted a very classy and stylish wedding affair at the very start. “My husband and I wanted to create a very classy, stylish affair and have a memorable wedding that all our guests would remember for a long time.” Kirsty shared. The color motifs were silver, lilac, and white, perfect for their vision of a simple yet classy and stylish wedding.
The Blue Bath, the wedding venue located in Rotorua, was everything they needed and more. Aside from its location and size, “One thing we were adamant about was that we did not want guests to have to travel to a separate venue for our reception at a later time, as this can make things feel very disjointed. That was why we chose our amazing venue – The Blue Baths.”
Kirsty and Ben believed that they have achieved their dream wedding. “We had so many compliments about our day, and the two years of planning was well worth the wait. Our wedding was our perfect dream day and we would not have changed a thing.”
Two tips were shared by Kirsty to our brides-to-be. “It helps to know what you do and don’t like when planning. We knew right from the start that we didn’t like a whole lot of decor and things, especially on the table settings. We kept it simple with a few candles and beautiful flowers for centerpieces.” And we ask her about the wedding budget, she advised, “Make a budget and stick to it! We went over our initial budget but not excessively. We had good quality vendors who made planning our wedding day stress-free. We have no regrets.”
