About this business
I provide outdoorsy couples who hate awkward poses, getting married in the Wairarapa and Tararua regions, with documentary-style photography by a new best friend, so you will feel relaxed, and your photos will be an authentic memory of your day.
Is your favourite thing to do together getting active exploring the great outdoors, either at home or overseas? Anything really: bushwalking, kayaking, skiing, camping, four wheel driving and all the rest. You believe in the physical and mental benefits of pushing personal boundaries being active outdoors. I’m a massive fan of wellies and walking boots at weddings!
Hate Awkward Poses?
Is one of your greatest wedding day fears being forced into poses that aren’t truly “you”? I photograph weddings in a documentary-style. This means I capture what happens in front of me and keep an eye out for meaningful moments. When we do sneak away for some quick wedding couple portraits, I generally leave you to it with very little direction. I return you to your guests as quickly as possible allowing you to spend the most amount of time with your loved ones on your wedding day.
New Best Friend = Relaxed
One of the ways I help you feel relaxed on your wedding day (and avoid awkwardness!) is by really getting to know you before hand. I do this by catching up face-to-face (or via video call) and just chatting. I love learning about you, your love story and what you do in your daily lives.
All my wedding photography couples have an engagement shoot. This session allows you to see how I work and relax having your photo taken. Plus you’ll have some gorgeous nature-based portraits to document this unique time in your lives: your engagement. So when I turn up on the morning of your wedding, it feels like a new best friend just arrived.
Authentic Memory of your Wedding Day
When you receive your wedding photos, you’ll re-live all your favourite parts of your special day. You’ll also realise it went by super fast! There will be moments you’ve forgotten or missed in the first place. Your vows will come to life again; you’ll remember that split second when your new spouse catches your eye across the grazing table with a cheeky smile; and your Mum and aunt who has since passed away holding hands becomes a cherished image. These authentic memories you can pass down to generations to come.
