Baking is in my blood. And I have the scars to prove it!
I’ve been baking since I was 6 years old. School holidays spent in my mother’s kitchen (she’s a chef) and weekends on the BBQ with my Dad (he’s a dude).
I was working as a sport and recreation coordinator in Wellington, and baking up a storm on weekends. Until one day I realised that baking is where it’s at. So I packed up everything I owned, and bet everything on a bakery job in New Plymouth.
In 2015 I started a cake stand at the Seaside Markets – my first market was a sellout, and it had me hooked.
Cake is where the heart is.
